I) Título del curso: From EFL teacher to EFL
material designer in the word processor, power point and you tube era.
Copete (síntesis): In this course we will first discuss the impact of
technology on EFL classes and on teachers´ planning and practice. After
analysing how to plan critically and creatively our lessons using the textbook
as a springboard and not as a straightjacket, we will create our own material
to supplement course books with the aid of ITC. We will end up the course by
designing a complete topic-based project integrating resources downloadable
from the internet and adaptable to different contexts. Throughout, we will bear
in mind the intricate relationships among content, technology and pedagogy.

III) Título del curso: The power of Storytelling in the classroom.
Copete (síntesis): This highly
interactive course will delve into the question of the use of stories and
storytelling inside the EFL classroom. Participants will have the chance to
explore different techniques, strategies and resources used in the art of
storytelling. They will also experience different and varied stories, both as
listeners and as tellers, and learn practical and concrete tips to use stories
with learners of different ages and levels of English in their own classrooms.

IV) Título del curso: Las
lenguas extranjeras y las áreas curriculares: un desafío para la integración
Copete (síntesis): ¿Qué se puede aprender de Ciencias Naturales,
Matemática y Ciencias Sociales en las clases de lenguas extranjeras? Este curso
desafío a los docentes de lenguas extranjeras a integrar los contenidos de las
áreas curriculares en sus proyectos de aula. El propósito del curso es
capacitar a los participantes para que puedan elaborar secuencias didácticas
atendiendo a los contenidos y modos de conocer de las ciencias naturales,
matemática y las ciencias sociales atravesados por las prácticas del lenguaje.

abordaje de la enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras ha cambiado su enfoque a partir
de la aparición de las TIC. Es así que
se plantea un nuevo desafío para el docente que desea innovar en el aula. A
partir de distintos recursos de la web 2.0 exploraremos las posibilidades que
ésta ofrece para acompañar los procesos de aprendizaje y mejorar la comprensión
y producción tanto oral como escrita.

Students and Teachers. Can It Be Useful and Enjoyable at the Same Time?
Copete (síntesis): Assessment has nearly gained as much relevance as teaching
and learning in the field of English Language Teaching. Even though some
teachers still see assessment as something that occurs separately from teaching
and learning, many others regard it as an integral part of the teaching and
learning process. However, the test, the
practical activity used to assess students’ ability, skill, or knowledge, does
not always show what it purports to measure and the results of such test may
appear to be different from what the teacher expected.

development of reading and writing skills in our learners. We will explore a

and, at the same time, provide relevant and meaningful contexts through which
they will learn concepts and skills.
